when I purchased the tascam dp004, I had no idea how to operate it and received no guidance from where I purchased it ,so took their advise and bought the dvd.now I am recording and moving songs to my computor.

I, personally, did not want to spend weeks, or months, as I did with reel-to-reels to learn how to operate this digital piece of gear. I was amazed at the complexity of such a small recorder. After watching the DVD I was recording several songs! As with playing a musical instrument you have to "practice, practice, practice" to become proficient, but at least now I can be recording rather than just learning the DP-008 one step at a time. This DVD was one of the BEST investments I've ever made for my musical endeavors. David Wills has a great teaching manor that's easy to digest and understand. I am extremely glad I got his instructional DVD!
