Session 1 – Introduction to Sound

In this session we discover exactly what Sound is and how we can capture it. Get the basics of dBs, Hz and a few other fundamentals so that we can build on that knowledge for the rest of the course.

Session 2 – Recording the Perfect Track

Session 3 – Using Effects Creatively

Effects are the spice rack of the studio. In this session you’ll learn to “cook” like a pro using both Insert effects and Effect loops. We’ll go through example after example of how to use effects both to fix problems and creatively improve your sound.

Session 4 – Blending the Perfect Mix

Bringing all the elements of your recorded tracks and your effects is the job of the Mixdown Session. In this module, we’ll spend time fixing problems, building a basic mix…then polishing our mix using the same tip & tricks used in the major studios in NY, Nashville and LA.

Session 5 – Mastering Your Masterpiece
